“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. " - Osho .

Hi! I’m Marcy Casselman

I’m the founder of Sleep Well Mama®, a Certified Postpartum Doula, Respectful Sleep Coach and Circle of Security Facilitator.

I’m so glad you’re here!

A little about my background…

My path began with a diploma in Community Support Work and grew into a career devoted to child development and family support. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children and parents, always centring my work on what families truly need to thrive.

My approach as a Postpartum Doula and Sleep Coach is rooted in connection, respect and secure attachment. I am committed to supporting your family in a way that nurtures both you and your baby’s emotional well-being while respecting your individual needs.

A little about me…

I’m a mama of four big kids. Three sons who are grown now and a teen daughter who lights up my life in the most beautiful way.

I’m a west coast girl at heart and feel most at home near the mountains. We’re settled in Cochrane now, close to the Rockies and to Canmore where we spent many years raising our family.

I love simple time together. Rafting trips on the river in the summer. Ski days when the snow is good. Quiet walks with my dogs. Singing whenever I can. These are the things that steady me and shape how I show up for the families I support.

Reflections from Families

  • "Working with Marcy was such a gift!  She was so attentive, caring, considerate and thoughtful during our time together.  I had underestimated how challenging and unpredictable my postpartum time was and I was SO GRATEFUL for Marcy's expertise. Not only is she skilled in assisting you with the baby's needs, but she also took care of ME."

  • "Marcy takes the time to get to know her clients and she genuinely cares about the whole family. She would go out of her way to check in with me during the week, and also to research new things for us to try. She is very knowledgeable and is able to offer her knowledge and experience without passing any judgements. If we decide to have another child, I would absolutely work with Marcy in the future!"

  • "Marcy was my postpartum doula with second child. I had struggled to breastfeed my first and was determined to do so with my second. Marcy's help and encouragement and advice was what made that possible. I honestly think I would have given up if it wasn't for her help. Her kind, gentle nature makes her absolutely perfect for this!"

  • "Working with Marcy was one of the best early parenting decisions we ever made with both of our children. Marcy brought calm, support and clarity to me in the throws of all the postpartum highs and lows.Marcy is one of the most genuine, giving, thoughtful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is such a peaceful and understanding presence - listening carefully always. Her empathy and understanding is outstanding - knowing that she 'gets it' provides an incredible peace of mind and support."
